OutlawNet/Qwest DSL - FAST, Affordable Dedicated Access
OutlawNet is happy to announce that we now provide DSL service to Sisters, Camp Sherman, Bend, Redmond, Madras, La Pine & Sunriver residential and business customers.  This service started in May 2003.  We are also happy to announce that we are able to offer this service in alliance with Qwest.  To order DSL service you'll need service from Qwest and service from an Internet Service Provider.  You have many choices but we hope you'll choose OutlawNet as your ISP!

The DSL technology provided by Qwest has a 2 mile limit from the local Qwest station in any of our service areas.  Qwest provides you with a DSL circuit right on your voice line and they are responsible for transporting your Internet data from your location to the Qwest Central Office.  Qwest then sends your data to OutlawNet.   OutlawNet has the portal to send you out to the world.

PerformanceDSL provides affordable high-speed remote access to the Internet, corporate networks and on-line services over ordinary phone lines at speeds (5) five times faster than the fastest analog modem.  This is the same wire that is already installed in hundreds of millions of homes and businesses throughout the world.   DSL enables use of real-time, interactive multimedia and broadcast-quality video for such new services as collaborative computing, video conferencing, distance learning and video-on-demand and gaming.

DSL provides a private, secure channel of communications between you and the service provider.

Always onDSL is "always on" and connected - just like your telephone.   The difference is that you no longer dial up to access the internet.  DSL is on standby, waiting ready for use whenever you are.  Since Qwest DSL users connect through a standard Ethernet interface, there is no dialing, no typing a user name or password.  That familiar squawk of the analog modem will be come a distant memory!  Simply open your browser or pick up your mail ... you're already connected!
Data/Voice Integration
- With Qwest DSL, users have their data service for DSL and voice service for phone calls integrated on their existing telephone line.  This means making the most of one phone line; use your telephone or fax and surf or answer email all at the same time!

Never Get a Busy Signal - Qwest DSL routes data traffic off the public switched network so congestion and interference problems are eliminated.  This means that busy signals are a problem of the past.
