When Andreu Lacondeguy first came to America for the first time to bike. He entered himself in Crankworks 2006 where he made it to the finals for his first time in his life and if it weren’t for him getting the crash of the day he probably would have won. After that however he got famous fast. In the next year he was in multiple movies, competitions and won lots of awards.

Andreu has many sponsors some of which are Red Bull and Kona.He is also part of the Kona Clump which is a team of all the great Kona riders. This team includes Andreu, his brother Lluis, John Cowan, Robbie Bourdon, Paul Basagotia, and last but definitely not least Grant Fielder.

Andreu currently lives in Barcelona Spain and when he is not there he lives in southern Cali. He tells people the only reason he rides is for pure clean fun. However when he was a kid he didn’t want to be anything else but a rockstar. His advice to beginners is only have fun and ride lots of dirt. |

In my opinion I think that Andreu Lacondeguy is the most amazing person on the face of the planet. He is my absolute hero and I think he is the best biker ever. Being sponsored be Red Bull and Kona only adds to the coolness. |
