The ball must rest on an open hand palm. Then it must be tossed up at least 6 inches and struck so the ball first bounces on the server's side and then the opponent's side. If the serve is legal except that it touches the net, it is called a let serve. Let serves are not scored and are reserved.

There are around 56 major ping pong clubs in the U.S. In all of the tournaments you have to pay a fee to get in. You also have to have your own equipment to get into the tournaments. They are very fun to play in. I have been in one before and I liked it a lot.

A lot of people like to wear special clothes when they are playing ping pong. The better players that have sponsors have warm-ups for before their match. When playing ping pong you want to wear light clothes that are very comfortable. You want to wear shorts instead of pants. Lots of people wear these types of clothes when they play ping pong.
