Blue Crabs The first crab on my list is the Blue land crab. This little critter is a burrowing crab. These crabs can grow to about 11 cm and weigh over 500 grams. Where they live Adult Blue crabs are terrestrial, which means land-dwelling. These crabs are found about 5 miles away from the shoreline, returning only to breed or drink. The Blue crabs live in burrows many feet deep, or at least at a level that will let water creep in for the crabs moisture. Food These crabs are sort of omnivores, but they are mostly vegetarians. They prefer to eat fruits, berries, leaves, flowers, and vegetables. Sometimes the Blue land crabs will eat beetles and other fairly large insects.
