Have you ever thought about getting a puppy like a baby Basset hound? Well I did when I was seven years old. It was not the easiest thing in the world, in fact out of all the dogs I ever had, the Basset hound was the hardest to take care of. To have a Basset you have to have a very large fence. Once they get their nose in the air they run off and get lost.

Basset hounds are very good for hunting, because their legs are short and stubby, so when they walk through the brush they are so short that the brush really doesn'touch them. They're pretty much not noisy at all. Most people think that  Bassets are really lazy but they can be really hype. Like my Basset hound was raised with a black lab so he plays like a black lab puppy. And it also matters how you raise your puppy.

Trying to find a pure bread Bassethound can be hard, because you don't always find them at the pet store or the pound. I got my Basset hound from a friend of my mom's. But here are some ideas about where to get your Basset hound:  You can get it off the internet or you can look in the paper. Or you just might get lucky and find some at the pet store. Those are just ideas on where to get them.

Potty training your dog can be very hard, if you do not train it the right way.  Many people say don't do that again. But is that really punishing your dog. If you tell your dog that everytime your dog will keep leaving presents for you. So what you do is everytime it leaves you a present, you rub its nose in it. I know its sounds really mean but soon enough there will be no more presents to pick up.
