If you are interested in racing, some local tracks that you can race at are Albany, Madras, Washougal, and Molalla. If you are going to race you will need your gear, such as boots, a helmet, pants, a jersey, and a chest protector, of course you're also going to need a bike. Then you have to pick the classes you are going to race, like beginner, intermediate, advanced, or mix. You will need to pay your entrance fee and your racing fee, and pay for your racing license. The other things like gear, oil and spare parts are also very important.

RULES TO RACING:

Flags: The checkered flag means that you are on the last lap of your race. The red flag means you will re-start the race at the starting gate. The yellow flag means that someone has crashed and be careful not to run them over. White means an ambulance or other official vehicle is on the track. If you see the yellow flag and don't slow down you will get disqualified! You are also not allowed to run people off the track on purpose because it is not sportsman like and someone could be seriously hurt. An example of what not to do is shown below.
