What is Kirby?

Kirby is a little pink round ball that floats around and saves the world. (Just like most games) In most of his games he is in dream land. On other games like Kirby and the Crystal Shards, he is in many different worlds. Looking at Kirby closer he is a round ball that has feet that are red and has little bumps on his sides for arms. Kirby has no fingers. He is also on games with other Nintendo characters. Games like Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Game Cube, and Super Smash Bros. for the N64. For the ruff sketch of Kirby, you draw a circle, and then add two bumps on his side for his arms. Next you add two red feet that are semi-oval. His eyes are also oval and have three different colors; black, white, and sometimes blue. I really like Kirby because he has had really fun games for all the Nintendo consoles. The first Kirby game I ever played was Kirby and the Crystal Shards. I was about 8 years old and didn't even know what he was until my friend explained him to me. I instantly got very interested and became more knowledgeable than him. That is why I like Kirby. I saw him the first time and thought that he was really cool. Enjoy the rest of my web page.

Why Do I Like him?

(To Top)

Seeing a little pink puff ball floating around and fighting evil, showed me that little kids can stand up to big problems. I first found out about Kirby when I was about 8 years old. It was the middle of the summer and I went to my friend’s house. He had been playing Kirby and the Crystal Shards when I got there and I ask him what it was. As he explained him to me I got more and more interested about him. Now I have most of Kirby’s games including other games that he is on. Some of the games are Super Smash Bros., Super Smash Bros Melee, Kirby and the Crystal Shards, and Kirby Air Ride. I have many other games with him in it. I think that all Kirby games are good kid’s games and are also fun for some adults. I think you would like it and enjoy playing Kirby’s games of epic adventures. I hope you have a look at Kirby and his games and see if you to would like it. Right now I’m very excited with Kirby still and will tell you how to draw him. In Paragraphs to come I’ll add more details and pictures. To draw a simple sketch of  Kirby, draw a small pink circle. Then add two little bumps on his sides. Those are his arms. Next add two small squished ovals that connect to the bottom of the circle. For the last steps you add small ovals towards the upper middle of the round ball. Last you add two black pupils inside the white ovals. Afterwards you can add any accessories you want.

How To Draw.

(To Top)

If you are wondering how to draw Kirby there are four different types I can teach you. One of the types is really easy and is one of the many powers in Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land. I will do them in order from easy to not so easy.

Number One: Ball Kirby, to draw ball Kirby the first steps are…

  1. Draw a round circle.
  2. Next draw two ovals towards the top center of the ball for his eyes.
  3. Draw two black ovals inside the larger two ovals and that makes his pupils.
  4. Last color the round circle pink.

That is how you draw ball Kirby.

Number Two: Regular Kirby

  1. Once again you draw a round ball.
  2. Next you draw the two ovals.
  3. After that you make the same pupils.
  4. The next step is to draw two more ovals by the bottom of the eyes towards the side of the circle.
  5. Then you draw another oval in between the eyes but under them towards the bottom of the circle.
  6. Next you draw two half ovals on the side of the circle.
  7. Last you draw two squished ovals on the bottom of the circle.
  8. After that you color Kirby.

Number Three: Floating Kirby.

  1. This time draw the same body and eyes like in the first Kirby, then point the feet and the hands up and down.
  2. Instead of an oval mouth you draw five lines; one horizontal and four diagonal.

Number Four: Star Kirby

  1. Draw everything the same as the regular Kirby except the eyes and mouth.
  2. For the pupils you put them more to the right of the eyes to make it like he is looking forward.
  3. Next you add two slanted lines above the eyes for eye brows.
  4. Then you add a slanted line to the left of the circle.
  5. Last you add a star that he rides on.

Kirby and his games.

(To Top)
This next section is about Kirby’s games. I will tell you about four different games. Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby Amazing Mirror, Kirby Air Ride, and Kirby and the Crystal Shards.

Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land is a game where the levels are through doors on the game screen. Once you enter a new level you can not leave until you beat it. If you enter a door of a level that you have beat you can hit start and click, “leave through door” and Kirby will leave. In this game there are many different powers that Kirby can get by eating enemies. If you eat two at once it will go through a random selection and you can try to get a power you want. There are also secret buttons placed in levels so explore thoroughly. This game is for the Game Boy Advance.
Kirby Amazing Mirror is almost the same except that the game is about rebuilding a mirror that was destroyed by an evil spirit. The powers are a little different and can be used differently. New powers have been added to this game. There are still buttons but they are no longer in the levels. Also the levels are connected to each other making the game one big level. This Game is for the Game Boy Advance.
Kirby Air Ride is a fun game with three different games in it. The games are; Top Ride, Air Ride and City Trial. In Top Ride you go around mini courses and try to finish all the laps first. The controls are a little weird but you get the hang of it after a couple of tries. Air Ride is the old fashioned racing game. Beside the fact you are a Kirby and you ride on different types of stars. You can suck up monsters that float around the track to get powers. There are basic and advanced powers. The point of the game is to get the best records and beat all the challenges. This game is for the Game Cube.
My personal favorite is Kirby and the Crystal Shards. The point of this game is to defeat the evil spirit that has taken over one of Kirby’s new friend’s world. Once again there are powers, and you can combine two powers to make a super power. There are no buttons, but there are very exciting parts to this game that are not included in the others. This game is for the N64. (Nintendo Sixty-Four)
Looking back to the first time I saw Kirby shows how much I have come to like him in such a short time. It also shows me how many kids could possibly like him. The small pink puff ball drawn out of circles and ovals can and will make many kids happy with his games. Games like Kirby Air Ride and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. I hope you have enjoyed this web page because I enjoyed making it. There are pictures on my next page.
