Chukars like the desert so you need to look for places on a map that are in the desert. You also want to look at the contour lines and find the spots that the lines are really close together. These lines represent steep hills. You also want to get a map that shows BLM, Forest Service and Private Land so you don’t trespass on other peoples land. |
| Once you are in the area where you want to hunt you need to look at land with a lot of rim rock and steep hills. There also needs to be cover, feed and water. |
