Every day accept Fridays and some Wednesdays we read out of a book of our choice and record it in the reading log. Most of the teachers here at SMS will provide you with a book if you do not have one. The teachers generally enjoy it when you continually progress on the same BOOK or MAGAZINE.
The reading log is probably the most important peace of paper you will ever receive in your entire life. On this peace of paper the pupil will write what they have read and how much they read that day. The guide room teacher bases your guide room grade on this important document. If you have not been PERFECTLY filling out your reading log, you may be publicly executed. Accept we do not need to fill it out on Wednesday.
Morning Wednesday is exactly as it sounds... every Wednesday, guide room starts in the morning, and lasts an extra 15 minutes. These days are used for doing things like jeopardy and making cards. But if there is nothing of importance to do, it's a lot like a long free Friday.
Free Friday is my favorite time off year. Actually it happens every week but you get the point. Fridays are meant to be a fun day in guide room, although sometimes we make cards or play name games (games that help you learn others names). "Free" Friday can sometime be really fun though; lots of guide rooms go OUTSIDE and frolic in happiness.
