SMS 7th Grade Football
There are 11 positions on offense and defense. For offense, the offensive line their is a center, two guards on either side of the center, and two tackles on either side of the guards. Those positions guard the Quarterback before he throws. There is a Quarterback. Who throws the ball to the receivers. Their are two receivers on the field. Their job is to catch the ball when it is thrown to them. The running backs are fullbacks and tail backs. The fullbacks job is to carry the ball and block for the tailback. The tailback's job is to run the ball.  On Defense their are line men. Who try to sack the Quarterback. The linebackers try to get the running backs. There are safeties who are like a last line of defense if the players go deep. The cornerbacks guard the wide receivers so they don't complete a pass. But they don't only play sports in America but the also play in  Africa.
