| Welcome to my web page! Have you ever wondered
what someone faces when they join the Sisters Cross-Country Team?
Well now you will be able to find out! |
| Every year we have
about eight races. If you do not want to go to them and run you
can just watch or you don't have to go at all. None of them are mandatory.
Once a year we have the Pepsi Challenge. First we run a two mile race,
then we rest. Next we run a relay of 1/4 of a mile after drinking
a can of Pepsi. It is really hard to run with all of that Pepsi! It
is the only fun race that we do, and every one loves to run it. |
|
|
Sometimes we only run
a mile and then we do sprints for the rest of of the time. Other
times we run two to four miles and then we just go home. Practice
is right after school from 3:00 till 4:30. About once a week we play Ultimate
Frisbee or La Cross. We only have cross country in the late summer to
early fall. To read about what cross-country is, please click
here. |
| To practices all you have
to bring is a bottle of water and your uniform that Coach Glick
loans us. It consists of a sleeveless shirt and shorts, both black.
Below is a ribbon I got just for participating in the Little Foot
Run! |

In the Cross-Country
Team grades 6th, 7th and 8th can participate. This trimester we
had about thirty runners. Here is a picture of this year's
team. As you can see there are both boys and girls in this picture. |

| At the beginning of all
of our practices we always do lots of stretching. Whoever wants to
lead the stretching may lead it. We usually do about 20 minutes worth
of stretching. Right after that we do our 1/8 to 1/4 mile warm-up
run. |
