| Michael L. Cox was born on
May 28, 1968 in San Jose, California. He grew up with his parents, Lee
and Marilyn and his brother Doug. He went to Rheem Elementary and
Joaquin Moraga Middle School, both in Moraga, California. At Campolindo
High School, Mr. Cox played baseball and soccer. He also met his
wife Alma there. He has been happily married to her for twelve years.
Alma is an artist who works mainly with fabric. Mr. Cox lives in Bend
with his wife and his two children Riley and Rachel. Riley is nine and
a half and Rachel is eight. They go to Highland Elementary School in
Bend. |
| Mr. Cox attended college at UC
Urbine in California and he went to McGeorge Law School in Sacramento.
He was an attorney with the Burton Volkmann and Schmal Firm in Santa
Cruz California for four and a half years. After that he taught in
California for two years and then he came here where he has taught and
coached seventh grade football for three years. |
| In his spare time Mr. Cox
enjoys golf, guitar, triathlon and watching
sports. He particularly likes watching his favorite football team,
the Saint Louis Rams. He has been a Rams fan for over twenty years
and he still watches games every Sunday. He also likes the Oakland
A's. In high school, Mr. Cox worked for the A's in public
relations. He would go down to the locker room after games and
eavesdrop on players when they talked to each other or the media. Then
he gave the press the stories. He also did this for the Los Angeles Clippers. He did
not
get paid for doing this but he wanted to do it because he got to
go to every home game and he went to the World Series with the A's. The
other reason he wanted to do this was because he though he would have a
future career in sports and he thought that would be a good start. |
