| Math: In the 6th grade math class Mr. Cox is
giving the class homework by how well the class acts. If students pay
attention and listen to him and if the students don't pay attention
then Mr. Cox will give them home work. He also gives them games to do
out of the Impact math book. He gives them warm ups before
class starts. Mr. Cox gives the student five points if he/she
gets the home work done. If they don't he will give them a BIG FAT 0
and that is not good. |
| L.A. The 6th
graders do almost every thing like the 7th and 8th graders. For
instance vocabulary cards, books, short stories, and they are writing
biography papers. They do this second period and the students say it is
really fun. He gives the class four vocab cards and then at the end of
the week he will make them turn
in a vocab card. He will then give them a test on the new words to see
if
they really did the home work. |
| Science: The
students are learning about gravity, motion, and friction. They call it
Environmental Science. They don't use the book every day but when
they do they have a great time while doing it. The book is green and it
looks like a normal book but not as thick as the 7th and 8th
graders'
science books. |

In Social Studies the 6th graders are learning about
Mesopotamia, Europe, and ancient civilizations. Most of the kids don't
like to study this stuff but they are really interested when Mr. Cox
says, "Should we watch a movie on the ancient civilizations in Europe".

| Math 7. Math 7 means that Mr. Cox teaches fifth
period math for seventh graders. We do the exact same thing that the
6th graders do first period but we are in a different period. We do
math out of the Impact math book and do games and learn new things
about what the bored people
made when they had nothing to do. I am in this math class fifth
period.
Mr. Cox gives the students 5 points if they turn in the home work and
has
tests every two weeks on Tuesday. |
| Mr. Cox: He has
been a teacher for three years at Sisters Middle School and two years
in California, where he lived before he moved up here to Central
Oregon. He loves
to be with us kids in school to help use learn and to do good. He also
loves
to see us have great fun with him when we play games. But if you
were me you would think Mr. Cox is so far the best teacher in the
whole Sisters Middle School! |
