When did you start working in Sisters?
Fall
of 1991, eleven years ago.
2. When did you move to Sisters?
Eleven
years ago.
3. Where do you live?
In
town.
4. What is your favorite part of working here?
The
staff. The people here are really great.
5. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A
veterinarian. My first few years at college were to be a vet.
6. Are you married, and do you have kids?
Yes, I've been married 32 years. I have two daughters, and 1 1/2 grandchildren
(My daughter's pregnant, and is due spring break).
7. Do you have any pets?
Yes,
I have Heidi, my Miniature Schauzer, and two cats. I always have cats,
and I used to have a horse named Cinder.
8. What are some of your hobbies?
Quilting,
riding horses, and traveling. My best trip was when I went to Germany. I
have traveled all over the place.
9. What do you plan on teaching this year?
Health
and Reading. I teach Health, and several Reading classes during the afternoon.
10. What are you most looking forward to about this year?
Team
teaching with Julie Patton. Team teaching is really fun, and she is a great
person.
11. What other jobs have you had besides being a teacher?
I
worked in a vet clinic, as a secretary, and a Canine Flea Engineer (a grooming
parlor).
12 If you weren't a teacher, what would you be?
I
would be a National Fundraising Coordinator & Entrepreneur. I have really
good fundraising ideas, so people would pay me to think of ways to make them
money. That's what I'll do when I retire.
13 What is your favorite song?
For
Once in my Life (Stevie Wonder).
It's
my husband's and my song. I also like Rhythm of the Rains, by the Judds. But
Stevie Wonder is definitely tops.
