Mr. Patton

You walk into social studies class on a cold, windy morning and then you hear a deep, booming voice that sparks fear in the hearts of children.............and then you realize it's only Mr. Patton,
and he says to you
"Good morning students." and bangs on his overhead.
"Today we will be taking a look at......", he then continues to tell you what you will be doing in class that day.
Hello, my name is Laura Curtis and I am here to tell you about my favorite teacher, Mr. Tom Paul Patton. On my web page you will learn about the classes he teaches, his hobbies and some about his personal life.

After Mr. Patton tells you what you    will be doing that day he will ask you to  open up your social studies books to the  correct page and to work on the  assignment until he stops you to correct  it.
As you have probably figured out by now,  Mr. Patton is my social studies  teacher (mine and that of the rest of the 7th graders here at Sisters Middle School)
But if you are one of the privileged few, you might be in his 1st period PE class, where you can be promised lots of running and exercise.
After Mr. Patton teaches his first period  class he makes his way upstairs to teach his first social studies class during second  period. He will then continue teaching  this subject all the way through 5th  period. That ends his day of teaching    except of course if he does after school  tutoring or if he is coaching a sport that  season. But we will get into that later.

But now, how about talking about his personal life? Mr. Patton has a wife and two kids. His wife is the health teacher and she is just as awesome as he is!
His oldest son is six and his youngest son is four. Their names are Sam and Gabe.

When Mr. Patton is through teaching for the day  he makes his way home where he corrects papers and dotes on his lovely wife. (According to him at least).

But what does he do for fun, you might ask
Well, Mr. Patton Plays basket ball twice a week and he also enjoys weight lifting. On the weekends he works on his house  and plays with his kids.
But if you are looking for him around basket ball season you can most likely find him coaching the 8th grade girls team or the 7th grade boys team. He also coaches football in the fall.

So, in conclusion I hope that from my page you have gathered that Mr. Patton is a pretty busy guy, I mean from teaching to coaching to thinking about how he can make our lives miserable by assigning two tons of homework each night (no hostility intended).     But despite that fact  he is still a pretty cool guy. And he is my favorite teacher.

This just in! This just in! Mr. Patton, that's right our own Thomas Paul Patton, has been named middle school coach of the year in all of Oregon! Can your believe it? Out of over 3,000 middle school coaches in the state of Oregon he is the one that took home the prize. Great job Mr.Patton! We are so proud to have you at our school.
