Ms. SchoeneckerBy: Sebastian Boehm

Ms. Schoenecker is one of the new teachers at Sisters Middle School but of all the new teachers, I definitely think she is the best. Ms. Schoenecker teaches seventh grade Language Arts and she also teaches a class with a mix of 7th and 8th graders. Sometimes, she also teaches Social Studies. "Language Arts is so fun to teach because it's such a broad subject." Says Ms. Schoenecker. In her class we do all types of cool stuff like learn about world war two.

After Ms. Schoenecker graduated high school in Portland, she moved to Corvallis and became a Beaver. She majored in Political Science and minored in philosophy. "College was one of the best experiences of my life," says Ms. Schoenecker. After OSU, She decided to be a teacher so she went to Concordia University, in Portland, to get her Masters Degree. Ms. Schoenecker also used to sub.

As most of us know, she spends her summers working at her family owned business. They do guided white water rafting trips around Oregon. She has been rafting since she was a little girl." It's so much fun... but not when it's cold". Ms. Schoenecker says. One of her other favorite things to do also is to spend time with her family and friends. She goes to Whistler B.C. every year in the summer. Last but not least, she also reads a lot, she hikes around Central Oregon and this year she really wants to learn. how to knit.

Ms. Schoenecker does not give very much homework at all because she knows that most of her students play sports so she keeps it at a reasonable amount. She expects the students to do the homework that she assigns because she does not give very much so it must be very important and if you don't turn it in on time then you will lose credit. So other than vocab, which you do all through High School, she doesn't give very much homework.
