Ms. Vettrus is one of the many new teachers this year here at Sisters Middle School. She teaches grades 6,7 and 8. She teaches Special Education and works with kids at the middle school who have behavior difficulties. She enjoys teaching and working with the kids. Some of Miss Vettrus's favorite things to do are read, hike, ski, listen to music, hang out with friends, travel, dance, skateboard, ride her bike and play with her dog. When she was little she wanted to be a jockey because she was short and loved horses. She got into teaching because her mother and three uncles were teachers; it just runs in the family. She has always wanted to help people and has a sister with special needs, so she has always had a knack for helping people out.

A short biography

Miss Vettrus was born and raised in Eugene, OR. Her mom and dad still live there today. She went to the University of Oregon in Eugene and got her bachelors and masters degrees. Her favorite thing to do is travel and visit her friends who live in really cool places. She loves to volunteer and work with the elderly and people in need. She has a brother and two sisters. She is the middle child and has always been the mediator of the family. Her brother, Matthew is 37, her sister Sarah is 35, Miss Vettrus is 28 and her youngest sister, Rachel is 26.

All in all Miss Vettrus loves her job and loves helping people in need. In her free time she loves to skateboard and hang out with family and friends. She would like to teach a fun P.E. class and teach more extreme sports. She loves making friends and talking a lot. If you get the opportunity to have Miss Vettrus as a teacher you're very lucky. She's really nice and loves to have fun. I hope you get the chance to meet her and talk to her. If you see her in the halls you can say hi and she'll probably start a conversation with you.
