High Jump
In high jump, like long jump, you get three attempts per height rather than per person, and the way you scratch is by knocking the bar off.

Pole Vault Pole vault is the most technically challenging jumping event and possibly the hardest jump of all. The rules are the same as high jump |

Shot Put
Shot put is an event that requires more brawn than brains but still requires a small amount of skill. In shot you get three throws and they measure the best of the three. The only way you can get disqualified is by exiting or walking out of the front of the pit. |

Discus
Discus is the only other throwing event available to middle school participants. This throwing event requires way more technique that shot put but still you need strength. The scratch rules are the same for discus as for shot.
