Using the standard principles of design, usability and accessibility, students in web design will learn how to create and publish web pages that are both useful and appealing. Students in web design will also gain a working knowledge of web programming languages such XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. The Adobe platform will be utilized as well, familiarizing students with current industry standard development frameworks. In developing fully functioning web pages, students will become familiar with the principles of separation of content, presentation and interaction. Upon completion of this course, students will have the ability to conceptualize, develop, design and publish high quality web pages and web sites that are both usable and visually appealing.
