"All science is concerned with the relationship of cause and effect.  Each scientific discovery increases man's ability to predict the consequences of his actions and thus his ability to control future events."  -- Laurence J. Peter (Peters, 457)

"Electricity, as defined by the Oxford Desk Dictionary, is a form of energy resulting from the existence of charged particles(Oxford, 243)."  That is a simple way of putting it.  Electricity is far more complex than the definition given above but to understand the basic functions of electricity, it is a good place to start.  The goal of the web page is to give the viewer an insight into various areas dealing with electricity.  In the process we hope to give you a feel as to what electricity is and the scope of material on this topic.

Topic Descriptions:

Circuits -- This page describes series and parallel circuits and offers example problems to provide proof that you actually use algebra in the real world.
Founders -- The understanding of electricity has evolved tremendously over the past couple of centuries and that is due to the work of some incredible people such as Thomas Edison and Benjamin Franklin.
Experiments -- Electricity can create some interesting experiments.  See what Sisters High School has done to demonstrate different areas of electricity.
Schools -- Getting a job in the electrical engineering field would be a good choice because of all the jobs that are left open because no one has the background to fill them.  We have gathered links to some of the best electrical schools in the nation with a quick description.
Definitions -- The definitions page is just a collaboration of electrical words and words that are integral in understanding electricity.
Formulas -- A great reference source on different electrical formulas.  Don't be intimidated.
Links and Works Cited -- See where we got some of our information so you can go into a more in-depth look at electricity.
