California Institute
of Technology
California
Institute of Technology(Cal Tech) offers 12 different fields in engineering.
From Electrical, Aeronautics, to control of Dynamical Systems. Cal
Tech was founded in 1891 and is located in Pasadena on a 124 acre campus.
School contains 1,800 students, half of them which are in graduate studies.
In 1993 U.S. News & World Report ranked Cal Tech one of the top ten
universities in the country. The average SAT scores of members of

Cornell
University
The College of Engineering offers
a curriculum of unusual breadth and depth. It encompasses ten major fields
of engineering, each offering a unique combination of cutting-edge theory
and real-world experience. As a vital part of Cornell University, the College
of Engineering shares the dynamic social and intellectual atmosphere of
a college within the larger context of a world renowned university. Engineering
students have the opportunity to explore their interests in detail through
specific engineering courses while also taking advantage of the vast menu
of courses available in other academic disciplines at Cornell.

Massachusetts Institute
of Technology
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
(MIT) is probably the most recognized technical universities in the United
States today. The estimated cost each year to attend MIT is over
$30,000 dollars, one of the highest cost in the nation to attend collage.
It takes an average of seven years to graduate MIT with a 88% to 89% success
rate. An interesting thing about MIT is that it doesn't require a
high school diploma to be accepted. Although MIT does require that
incoming freshman have been through calculus. |

Oregon State
University
Oregon State University (OSU) offers
degrees in engineering, computer science, construction engineering management,
engineering physics and radiation health physics. Students may choose engineering
majors from chemical, civil, computer, electrical and electronics, industrial
and manufacturing, mechanical, and nuclear engineering. Educational preparation
for land surveying, a licensed profession in all states, is offered through
civil engineering.
The engineering curricula at OSU
are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of A.B.E.T.
Civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering were first accredited in
1936; chemical engineering in 1942; industrial engineering in 1950; nuclear
engineering in 1973; and computer engineering and industrial engineering
(manufacturing) in 1985. The construction engineering management program
was accredited in 1980 by the American Council for Construction Education
(A.C.C.E.).
