Spring Term
The Spring Expedition is a culmination of everything the students have learned during the spring term. We have been following the Deschutes Basin from the source of Whychus Creek. During this trip we are observing and learning many skills on our rafting trip. The students are involved in planning/preparation for this expedition. The studies are focused on the Lower Deschutes area.
What is Spring Term all about?
-Using the knowledge-base learned in fall and applying it to our surroundings
-Utilizing community resources and partnerships
-Using project-based learning
-Seeing that students leave with a greater sense of awareness and confidence
-Giving students knowledge and practices to carry on and to share with others (i.e.: no-trace camping, etc.)
